On behalf of national and international artists and record producers, Sena collects compensation when their music is performed outside the domestic sphere. This could include the use of music in shops, supermarkets, pubs and nightclubs as well as on radio and television . Sena is designated by the Ministry of Justice to implement the law on related rights and does this since 1 July 1993. The revenues are at the lowest possible cost on the basis of the turn data of radio and television stations and on the basis of legally approved regulations passed back to the entitled artists and producers at home and abroad.
